How
it works
Message
Bureau provides you with your own toll-free or 212 area code
telephone number (or you can use yours if you already have one
by forwarding it to your Message Bureau number) and sets up
your account to handle calls just the way you want. When a
customer dials your Message Bureau number (or a local line
forwarded to your Message Bureau number), Fast Connect
automatically answers your call, plays your initial greeting
and then asks the caller to hold while the system tries
to reach you at your current ring-to destination.
What
happens on my end?
When
you answer a Fast Connect call, the system greats you
and says, "Call from (the caller's name)." The
system then gives you several options for what to do with the
call, including;

take
the call
-
send
it to voice mail
If
your line is busy or rings no answer, the Fast Connect system
will automatically send it to voice mail (or attempt to reach
you at a second or third number and then send it to
voice mail). If you select to have hours of operation
and a caller tries to reach you or one of your Departments
"after hours", the system will send them straight to
voice mail without ringing you first.

You
can set Fast Connect Virtual Office up as either a
professional personal assistant or a business simply based
upon how you script your recordings.
Below is an example of each scenario.
Example
1 - Business
"Thank
you for calling The Mortgage Maker - making your dream
mortgage a reality. Please visit us on the web at www.money.com.
If you know the Extension of the person you wish to reach
please enter it now, otherwise please hold one moment for
the next available representative."
If
you don't answer the call and it goes to voicemail you can
have a general voice mailbox greeting like the following.
"I'm
sorry, all of our representatives are currently assisting
other callers, but your call is very important to us. Please
leave a message after the tone and a representative will
return your call shortly."
If
a call comes in "after-hours" you can play a
separate after hours recording like the following.
"I'm
sorry, you have called outside our normal business hours of
nine to five, Monday through Friday, Eastern Standard Time.
Please leave a message and a representative will return your
call as soon as we reopen."
Example
2 - Personal Assistant
"Hello,
you have reached Johnson Engineering Services - please hold
one moment while we attempt to reach John Johnson for
you."
If
you don't answer the call and it goes to voicemail you can
have a personal voice mailbox greeting like the following.
"Hi
this is John Johnson. I'm sorry I wasn't available to
take your call right now. Please leave me a message
and I will return your call shortly."
If
a call comes in "after-hours" you can even play a
separate after hours recording if you like.
"Hi
this is John Johnson. I'm sorry but you have reached
me outside my normal business hours of nine to five, Monday
through Friday, Eastern Standard Time. Please leave a
message and I'll return you call as soon as possible."
